Caravan stolen with owner asleep inside
A North Wales pensioner woke up with a bump when his caravan hit a curb. It was only then as he gathered his wits that he realised his caravan had been stolen and was being towed away.
Mr Roberts said: “When I woke up and it was moving I thought I was dreaming.”
The caravan in question was a Hobby Prestige which was uninsured. Mr Roberts had bought the caravan for £17,500 in 2008. The thieves went to some lengths to steal the caravan, removing a wheel clamp and gate post without disturbing the pensioner.

“Benjamin Moorhead, 28, and Chantelle Kinnish, 24, both of Morecambe, denied stealing a caravan at Llandudno Magistrates Court yesterday. They were refused bail. Moorhead also denied taking a Ford Connect van without consent, and Kinnish pleaded not guilty to allowing herself to be carried in it. Moorhead admitted driving while banned. They were remanded in custody until Thursday.” David Powell, Daily Post
