Getting back to nature in Sweden
The forest “hotel” Kolarbyn two hours to the North West of Stockholm takes getting back to nature to a whole new level. The Eco-Lodges bring to mind the sort of place Bear Grylls would construct if he was planning to settle down for a couple of months in the forest.
At STF Kolarbyn neither electricity nor running water disturb your wilderness experience. Here you can happily fall asleep in front of the crackling fireplace and awake to beautiful bird song.
Each hut has its own fireplace and a plentiful supply of firewood, two “hard beds” with an insulated sleeping mats and sheepskin rugs to sleep on.
Lodging includes: Guided walk in Kolarbyn, isolation mat, sheep skin rugs, candles and matches, firewood for self-cutting, fresh water to be fetched from the spring, access to fire places, primitive kitchen facilities and equipment, dish place with running water in the stream, waste separation bins for recycling, access to big hut with tables and 45 seats (if not occupied), canoe and wooden rowing boat.
If you think that Glamping is making camping a bit too comfortable you will love this experience. It is raw, primitive and simply brilliant. Discover your inner cave man at Kolarbyn
You can even enjoy a floating sauna.
