    Hidden in the 2012 budget in a VAT package on Closing Loopholes and Correcting Anomalies was the matter of VAT on caravans that are currently zero-rated. The measure will have effect on supplies made on or after 1 October 2012 and after that date there will be 20% VAT on static caravans. The measure also applies to large tourers that are currently zero rated.
